CLUBMARK workshops.
Clubs wishing to gain accreditation under the Clubmark scheme have to show that certain individuals from the club have attended the following workshops..
Equity in Sport workshop - a 3 hour workshop that 1 coach from the club should attend.
Club for All workshop - another 3 hour workshop that 1 Club Official/member should attend.
Child Protection Workshop - 3 hour workshop that 1 Coach and 1 member should attend.
Tennis Scotland has set up a number of these workshops in different locations, there is no charge and Licensed Coaches can claim 3 License Credits for each. Use the follow link to book your place - Workshop registration page

New 'Coach' qualification LTA Induction/Play test Day Please note we have scheduled one of these for
Friday October 31st from 9am - 1pm at the David Lloyd Club, Newhaven Harbour (old Next Generation).
All coaches who have taken their Level 2 qualification (UKCC) and are interested in progressing to the LTA 'Coach' qualification will need to attend an induction day. However, if candidates have (or have had) a rating at or above the following level they do not need to take the play test.

We have attached the registration forms and schedule for the 2008 Coaches Conference to be held on the weekend of October 18/19 at the Scottish National Tennis Centre, University of Stirling; once again we have secured a great line-up of speakers from home and abroad. The main focus on this years event is Club Coaching - to give coaches ideas and knowledge that they can use immediately in their club programmes. This is the biggest event in the Scottish Coach Education Calendar and combines high quality learning across a range of key topics with great social opportunities for delegates; we look forward to seeing you there and to your continued support. Child Protection Workshops - use the following form to register for Tennis Scotland Child Protection Workshops, a pre-requisite for Level 1 and Level 2 courses. These workshops are free of charge - Workshop registration page . Alternatively contact your local authority to find out the dates and venues of the 'Safeguarding and Protecting Children' workshops - these are detailed in the sportscotland link further down this page - these however are not free of charge.
Level 2 COMMUNITY COACH courses - new dates
We have scheduled a second level 2 course following the initial Pilot course. The course will be held at the Next Generation Club in Glasgow and will run on the following dates June 21/22 - July 19/20 - August 16. This course is now mandatory for anyone wishing to attend the DCA course and all of the dates MUST be attended in order to complete the course.
